Maybe someone more computer smart than me will know: is there any reason that anytime I change my profile I'm told they can't verify where I am posting from and it requires me to change it a few times, retyping password and all, before it actually allows the change? It's a big pain in the ass.

I think it's a Firefox problem really, it does that too me on certain proboards site, this one also. Though you only have do it twice, plus for the password problem, just make the password box blank, then it won't make you change it.

I have the same problem, I just press amend twice, or however many times it takes, until I get taken back to my profile page. Then I know it's done.

Not in the traditional sand/no water sense. Weather patterns seem the same as they are on Earth today latitudinally at least. That said, due to the nuclear devestation of that War, the volcano's seas of ash, and other general not-good-things(c) I'd say that for all intents and purposes the whole WORLD is a desert except for the appropriate lands currently settled, and even those are rather arid.

Reclaiming, however, I'd imagine woudl be relatively simple given that its simply barren wastes that need to be repopulated with everything, and not an actual desert reclamation effort as there is in Africa these days.
