Caden sighed as he listened to her soft words to him, looking away once more as he became more abashed. It was soothing in a way to knew she understood if he couldn’t ‘work’ to his potential, or if he just wasn’t feeling overly well today, and he supposed she was informing him he was doing fine thus far. But, he felt young again, being guided through this gently. But, he could only gaze down at her again with a disarming smile, feeling slightly more at ease around her. Trust would take some time to gain completely, he decided, but for now, these sorts of things were very acceptable. He trusted her enough to know she would not feed from him this way, and that no physical harm would befall him, and that was enough to fuel the need to please her. Not to mention, her methods of rewarding his good behavior was… most enjoyable for him. He allowed himself to be pulled close to her, the heat in his face fading somewhat—though with his body temperature, he doubted she’d be able to tell the difference—and he relished in the equal reciprocation of his affection. His hands wandered over her body, tracing her perfect skin and the curves he so lusted for; he touched her tentatively and with the utmost care only in this way, somehow feeling as if she would break. Perhaps if things were different, they could truly be together. But, she couldn’t love and he didn’t have it in him to give his full love, nor did he really expect her to abstain save for him for… ever. It was hard to comprehend, having been human before.
Humanness was an unfortunate thing in ways. Her beauty was incomparable to anyone he had been with before; she had made herself that way, he knew, and she succeeded. Vampires lost their appeal to him the morning he found out what he was, and he wasn’t much for too many other species except humans. It was the relation to them, and now he found a deeper fascination with what was impossible. He felt like the human teenager, looking into her eyes, that was fearful around women and that felt so… ordinary. He hadn’t any idea she admired him in some way as well for his appearance. He loved this position, hair sprawled out around her in an unnatural halo, and how her eyes clouded for him. The moonlight did her justice, and he continued his sensual ministrations of moving in and out of her with dexterous ease, marveling how they moved together and fit together perfectly. He felt as if he should say something to express how he felt—whatever he felt. But, he couldn’t. He could only move as instinct instructed him, fortified by years of experience. He listened, closing his eyes with an encouraging mien, as she purred, and he shivered again as it became a growl. Perfection could hardly describe her, though it was the high contributing to his awe of her.
It seemed as though his image was tainted, and the moonlight set something else agleam that caught his attention more than the woman beneath him. It was accompanied by a sickeningly familiar scent, and he suddenly appeared uneasy. Nausea and bloodlust were the two combined things he feared at the moment, but he couldn’t speak; he simply swallowed with some difficultly. Her moans reached his ears; it appeared she was a masochist as well as a sadist. He couldn’t quite focus, his attention drifting back and forth perplexingly. He pressed down against her, continuing his deft thrusts as she arched and contracted around him in a way that set his body aflame. The nausea and lust led to an interesting and baffling high, and he could only whimper in both emotions as he stared down at her. “You’re… bleeding,” he panted out, and it was a rather stupid observation. What more could he say? He could feel the liquid against his hands from how he supported himself, and he bit back a wave of mixed desires and sickness. He didn’t want to stop for her sake; she had wanted this badly from what he had seen, and selfishly, he couldn’t handle stopping.
He met her eyes, and he felt her shiver and contrast beneath him at his question. He needed to end this quickly. The blood was seeping more rapidly, and he could feel it running over his fingers, and he shuddered from more than just bliss. Nausea was quelled as she moaned and expressed her like for what he was doing. He hadn’t realized how rough he was being; he felt her lock tighter around him, and his thrusts drove the roof further into her previously unmarred skin. She seemed… aroused. But, he couldn’t help but continue his last thought. “A lot…” It was concerned, a silent question to ask if she wanted to stop to allow herself to heal. He didn’t want to hurt her, but allowing her on top of him might get the same result—him cut up and drenched in both their blood. But, he was resolute, continuing to drive into her forcefully, though he slid a hand beneath her to prevent her from making contact with the roof as roughly. Caden kissed her lightly, trying to distract himself from the feel and scent of her blood than was dizzying him, but he refused to let it show.

Bast could faintly see how her words affected him. She watched him turn away from her and wondered if the male beauty above her didn’t like her assuring him of how good he was doing. Perhaps it was a little awkward, her being quite a bit older than he was and having much more experience in the matter. That must be it; he felt so young next to her and this may not help his ego. Poor thing. He was so sensitive at times and it made her smile, ruby lips pulling upwards slightly at the corners. He was more amusing than she thought and definitely needed him to stick close for a long time. He would he so fun to play with then ‘reward’ for being a good sport. He would end up deserving it what with putting up with a woman that had four different sides to her that could change at the slightly provoking. And had he not been thrusting into her, making her moan and sigh with every stroke, she may have changed as his hands ran lightly over her, calming her in a way and she might become the gentlest side, her apathetic persona. Only time would tell if she would really change because of such gentle touches.
She truly had to wonder about the vampire. Caden seemed so unsure of himself at times, reminding her that he had once been such a being, and yet, exerted confidence other times, drawing her closer with multiple desires coursing through her. She didn’t understand him and he seemed more complex than she was. Though suffering from MPD, she at least had her thought and wants in order; he seemed confused on many points, but she wouldn’t voice that, yet anyway. Tonight, for the moment, was about relishing in each other’s bodies, the soft radiance the moon gave, and the fluid movements against each other that would bring the ultimate physical pleasure to them both. She could already feel herself climbing steadily closer to that point, the pain from her back and the pleasure above mixing sensually for her much like their opposing temperatures did. It all contributed to her nearing her climax quickly. It was a matter of minutes to find out if Caden would be similarly aroused, or easily brought to his own end, with her blood seeping into the roof and spreading around them slowly.
She could feel the ‘vile’ liquid falling away from her, down the roof and into her hair. Her ebony locks were being stained with her own blood and made the strands heavy and cling together. Her equally red eyes turned on him to see him show the contempt he had for her blood in a way. She knew he would be disgusted – he had gagged the last time he tasted it and didn’t know if just the scent and sight of it would yield the same reaction. At least he didn’t stop; he would have had her whimpering and, more importantly, begging for release if he stopped now. She knew she was getting close, very close, and didn’t want him to stop for any reason. I know, She breathed quietly in reference to her wounds. She could only be glad that he didn’t pause in his ministrations. Perhaps he was more twisted than she thought. Maybe, with any luck, he simply liked the look of her blood running from her – just not the taste or smell of it. It would be like his dirty little secret and hidden pleasure to know he was able to dominate and hurt her like this and not get punished for it. He was only rewarded with moans and soft, incoherent words of delight that he didn’t cease his actions.
Bastet couldn’t help but moan out his name, a small sign for him to know how he was affecting her and that she wouldn’t be able to keep this up much longer. Her brow creased lightly when he mentioned how much she was bleeding. Perhaps it was more than she thought herself and just didn’t realize because of the haze of lust. She muttered a soft ‘it’s fine’ in return, not wanting him to stop for any reason. She even helped him protect her to an extent by wrapping her arms firmly around his torso and pressing her chest fully against his. She sighed at how cold he still was in comparison to her own rising temperature. Still she was sure her heat would singe him, or do something, but once again, nothing. In a way, this was a good thing –at least one of them would make it through the night without injury. Again, she willingly kissed back, but made it more urgent. As with most of their kisses, her tongue went out to coax his own into playing with her. She tilted her head a little and felt her matted hair move slowly, weighed down by the amount of blood that was slowly caking in the long, dark locks. It would certainly be a quick wash after this round tonight. If he wanted more, he would have to wait until she cleaned out a room or he would have to pick a less harmful place since he disliked her being hurt, or so it seemed.

Caden found it difficult to let his mood and attention drift far from what was going on. He only managed to keep his slightly shy eyes away from her for a few moments, his breaths coming out in soft pants. His dark eyes drifted over to meet her red ones, and it didn’t help to see she was amused by his behavior, and that she was smiling. It wasn’t an entirely unpleasant thing usually, but he was still concerned he was too much a child to her. But, it seemed almost as if it were a good thing; she liked him, she had said. He tried to swallow his less outgoing tendencies and focus only on her. He trained his gaze into hers, finding it more intimate this way. He didn’t often look at someone; he didn’t like to see consciousness fading or anything of the sort. And he was afraid that would happen to her in the back of his mind. He managed to hold her gaze, his hands lightly touching her in a way he could tell was probably more soothing than lustful. It took strength to try to ignore the pool seeping out around her. Her blood was entrancing to look at in the light, the moonlight making it appear as if it were a body of liquid ruby. He would have been highly aroused had she not had sickening blood, and that he really didn’t want to see her injured. He knew his distress was flickering in his eyes, and that his strokes were becoming less forceful; he hoped this wouldn’t annoy her.
He felt like he was drowning, the vital liquid percolating around the proximity, soaking his pale skin—his hands, his knees, and the scent was stifling. He was aware of the fact he was probably starch white at the moment, and he dearly hoped he wouldn’t collapse unconscious on her. He could probably get rid of the feeling by flipping her over and drinking from the wounds, but it would only serve to get him on a rampage. From lack of experience, he didn’t know if that energy was restricted to violence. But, he wouldn’t have that; he continued to push into her, closing his eyes once more to try and detach from the macabre images flashing into his mind. Her desire seemed to climb higher with her own injury, while it only served to sicken his stomach. But, luckily, the physical, pleasurable sensations hadn’t gone. Even if they had, he doubted she’d be very pleased if he were to stop while she was obviously so close to her end. He tried to ignore it, threading his fingers into her hair. He shivered, feeling how the blood was soaking into it, but he pushed past the wave of uneasiness. His lips ghosted across her jaw line, his breaths, heavier with his need of control, fanned out on her neck as he drifted lower.
He was lightly gleaming with perspiration, and she was practically radiating. Though, it wasn’t entirely desirable; he wished his sense of smell wasn’t as good as it was. Her eyes were on him, he could tell, but he wouldn’t stop for her sake. It was unfair that he should make her suffer for unintentionally causing these gashes along her back. But, she was bleeding so much… He feared she would die. His hand curved around the back of her head so he could very gently kiss her, as if he was afraid he would break her. He moved downward, sucking just beneath her bottom lip before moving down her chin and neck. “You know?” he questioned for confirmation, though it sounded somewhat incredulous. “Please… don’t die,” he murmured sheepishly, knowing he would sound utterly foolish to say something like that to a demon. But, it would let his stomach rest a bit easier if he wasn’t concerned every movement was going to worsen her. He was sure after they stopped, she’d heal within the hour. Again, humanness still reared its head sometimes. He shivered, taking it as somewhat of a reassurance as she spoke to him so intoxicatingly incoherently.
Caden groaned in response to his name, unable to dwell on concern at this point. He could see through the haze she probably didn’t realize she was hurt to the extent he was, and he probably should have stopped. Neither of them wanted to, despite her condition—at least outwardly. His conscious was raving at him to let her heal, but that would surely land him in a load of trouble. Her words made him sigh, and he nodded stiffly, showing his affection to her again as he kissed her. He allowed her to wrap around him more tightly, and his strength allowed him to support her above the roof, though he was lightheaded at the feel of her blood sliding through his fingers. He listened to her sigh as she was pressed into him, and he grinned despite himself. He wished wounds were something that could be alleviated with cold, but no such luck this time. The vampire felt her urgency, and he didn’t hesitate in moving his tongue with hers, reveling in the sensuality. He felt himself pulsating lightly in the indication of his end, and he was especially impatient this time, as he wanted to get her healed. He growled lightly, thrusting harder into her in his want, and he put more vigor into their kiss.

The demoness couldn’t help her thoughts of the other day. The vampire buried deep inside her was still so human, and so attached to them. She couldn’t understand it. If the Templars could have things their way, he would be dead. They didn’t want anyone feeding of humans and yet here he was, wanting to protect them, acting like them. He knew how powerful a demon she was – she had survived so many horrible years that humans inflicted on themselves – yet he still worried over her. She could see the concern in the endless depths of his eyes and found it somewhat endearing of him. She may have to show him just how resilient she was and show him how much torture she could endure. It would bother him at the time, but over time, he would learn not to worry about a little blood loss. Well, at least his concern for her wasn’t stifling him like her blood was and he was able to continue the task of moving into her. She was a little disappointed that he had lightened up on her, but it was better than all out stopping. From that alone, she realized she must have been horribly wounded which was why he was slowing. She groaned slightly, still pleased that he was going, but a little disappointed by how soft he was being.
She briefly took a moment to assess her own condition. She could feel the wounds stinging, a light burning around the edges of the deepest cuts. She noted how wet even her sides were. This would have to be some shower. Perhaps a long dip in the largest stream she could find was in order. She noticed how much lighter his skin seemed to be. Was she really that sickening? She also wondered if he would be stained from leaning in the crimson liquid. She knew it to be impossible, but he was so white, and the blood was so red. In a way, she wanted him to be stained, just for a little while. She just wanted to know what he would look like, smeared with such a vital fluid. That may be one of her experiments with him; just using blood other than her own and his precious humans. Perhaps animals. She hoped Caden wouldn’t be put off by her twisted desires to see such dark things. It would be something he would have to live with if he wanted to stick with her for long. It would be difficult to stomach at first, she was sure, but hopefully time would numb him to it and everything would be fine between them.
Well, so far so good. He could handle that she was even aroused to an extent by her own pain. Had this been from something else, he would have gotten a much different reaction. It was only the sensual feelings he was giving her elsewhere that countered the pain and made it okay for her to go uncaring for her own body. She kissed back lightly, understanding that he was only caring for her, and smiled slightly into it. Sweet boy. She tilted her head back in his hand as he moved to kiss down her neck and whispered quietly to him. Yes, I know. She assured him. How could she not know, especially with how he was reacting towards it – sickened, worried, and clearly showing signs that he had a few thoughts of stopping. She chuckled lightly at his voiced concerned and looked at him with gratitude for his concern for her. I’ll be fine. I’ve had worse. She murmured, recalling the Witch Trials and how she had been put on the block. A lot of people had tried killing her during those times and she sustained much worse and she, obviously, lived through it as long as she got some rest and was able to heal herself. Same now and considering how mild these scratches were to then, she would definitely live through the night.
A shiver ran through her, making her wounds flare up slightly, when he groaned. It was a beautiful sound to her and she would give almost anything to have him moaning for her all the time. At least his concern for her was slowly ebbing away, replaced by the need for release. Bast could feel it building further inside her, only heightened more when he joined her in the desire to climax. She sighed into the kiss as he obliged her and kissed back just as urgently. Her legs tightened around him further, had she put energy to her thighs, he may have broken. But she didn’t want him broken nor did she want to feed from him – she wanted him to push her over the edge as he had the other night. Then she could concentrate on fixing her back and they would be able to relax fully. She moaned loudly as he picked up his pace again, a second chill running through her once again as he growled. Her hands balled into fists on his back, unwilling to claw at him and making it both of them that were injured.
Mindful of him, she did her best to meet his thrusts, mewling lightly with each one. She whimpered slightly, muttering soft phrases, letting him know not to stop. It didn’t take much longer for her to fall into the physical bliss. Again, her inner walls convulsed around him, rippling around his length. The cat demon moaned out his name and tried arching further into him, though it was difficult considering she was already pressed flush against him. It took her a minute to be able to calm down, heart racing and breathing labored. She slumped backward, uncaring that her wounded back would be hitting a cold pool of her own blood and the unforgiving rooftop. The cuts would be healed soon enough; she just wanted to take a moment to come out of the daze of sexual satisfaction before worrying about getting herself fixed up to appease the worrying vampire.

Caden knew he was probably a very confusing creature to her, and he felt it was probably a good edge to have—it would keep her interested in trying to figure him out. But, his concern was genuine, not a ploy to attract her attention, and he was subconsciously pleased it seemed to work. He knew she could probably withstand much worse than this, and he was aware of the fact demons really didn’t die. But, he feared he’d be causing her pain. He never really hurt anyone before—or at least he didn’t think so; all his victims were alive and he was sure he’d used his abilities to numb pain. Now, he had slowed to a rate a being not supernatural could with some difficulty maintain, and he could see it in her eyes she was not pleased with this. He tried to make up for it by pushing himself to her cervix each time, and he hoped this was enough to satisfy her. He was a little disappointed himself, but as long as he could feel her bleed, he would be gentle. And, she seemed to understand. He just fought back the urge to roughly pound into her again as she continued with the sounds that sent him further into physical bliss. He gritted out a soft ‘sorry’. “Perhaps somewhere softer would be better next time,” he breathed out huskily, slight amusement in his distracted black eyes.
He panted softly in exertion, both with continuing his actions and from all the different restraints he needed. He wasn’t entirely with her, though he still looked down at her, eyes clouded. He wondered if she was even in pain, but he shrugged the thought away. She said she was fine, and he would believe her. He continued to run his hands over her body as he moved in and out of her with seeming ease. His gentle touches were over her back to support her, and he still wasn’t very comfortable, nervous he would hurt her more. So, he strayed from the area. But, he could marvel at the new exotic quality she took on as he dragged trails of her own blood over her skin. He shivered, drifting upwards to leave meaningless red patterns over her perfectly tanned skin. He closed his eyes with a soft moan. “How do you always look divine?” the vampire breathed out. She was right; his wants were conflicting. Everything was confusion with her, but he was thrilled by it even more. He was beginning to grow accustomed to her scent, and some of his color was returning—even faster than normal. Each of his movement caused her blood to splash out onto him from the ground and his hands were completely bloodied from holding her. It was a grotesque scene, and he was disturbed with how it served to arouse him. He supposed it was only because he didn’t feel sick anymore, and he was able to accelerate his pace once again.
He relished in her lips against his, no matter how soft the contact was. He opened his eyes again to burn intensely into her red ones that matched the sea forming beneath them. He didn’t know how lucky he was to have found her—or her to have found him. He could feel her smile, as he moved downwards, and he stroked her head softly. He let out a soft sound of affirmation at her words to let her know he had heard. He hoped she wasn’t being a martyr either, but after they were finished, he’d tend to her. But, she never failed to make him feel young and foolish, and he looked away at her laugh. “Okay… Good,” was all he could stutter out. Her color was perfectly fine in contrast to his, so she couldn’t have lost all that much blood by demon standards. Allowing her to rest and feed a few times would get her back to perfect condition; he kept that in mind. And he was aghast when he realized that for her life, the taking of others didn’t really mean much… But, he couldn’t dwell on that. Especially not now, as his breathing nearly stopped from bliss, and how he couldn’t help but go all out on her again, his steady, brutal rhythm broken into animalistic movements to satisfy them both quickly.
Her shivering against him drew another breathy, lustful sound from deep in his throat. It reverberated through his chest in a way he knew she could feel; she was crushed so closely against him. It excited him, and he grinned softly to himself; nothing was bothering him at the moment. How he would kill thousands to feel this way all of the time… He growled this out to her, and other broken phrases of how she was too good to him—in many ways. His returned to kissing her, delving his tongue further within her mouth as her legs tightened almost painfully around him. She could break him, and he really didn’t care. What a wonderful death… dying in this state… He moaned lowly and drawn out in unison with her as he sped up still. He was sure, again, she would be bruised horribly from this, and he felt bad. He grew lustful, and she got a bruised body and mangled back for it. But, the thought didn’t occur to him.
He growled out her name in pure delight as she met his movements and the sounds she let out were intoxicating. He continued until he could feel her convulse beneath him. He lost the ability to breathe as she moved even closer against him, her heat scorching his skin in the most delectable of ways, and he still was amazed how she fit against him. He came seconds after her, grunting loudly as he released within her. His strength sapped, and he collapsed atop her, catching himself quickly, however. It splattered the blood across his cheeks, but he couldn’t bring himself to care as he gasped and whimpered out her name in pleasure. He rested atop her, allowing the ecstasy to ebb away, but he was too tired at the moment to nag her about her wounds.

Bast stared dazedly up at the vampire, barely able to keep focus at the moment. She was lost in the haze of physical bliss. Caden had done well regardless of how gentle he had been with her. It was nice of him to be so concerned about her back, but it wasn’t needed. He could have kept the quick, hard pace for a little longer and she wouldn’t be much worse for the wear in the end. So she would have a little more to heal, but that was okay with her. Steal someone’s human, eat, and get a good day’s rest and she would be back to top conditions in the morning. But his notion wasn’t a bad one. She smiled as she sighed softly, shifting a little on the rooftop. Perhaps. She agreed softly, though this was an interesting place to have sex. There was the peril of falling through, getting caught out in the open, and then the harsh surface that had been the cause of the pool of blood they were laying in. But a better reason to be up here was looking skyward at the sparkling black blanket that hung over them, the stars alight with mirth and enjoying an interesting show.
She frowned lightly as he seemed to become entranced by just looking at her. She didn’t understand this new turn in him and glanced at herself for a moment. Her arms were splattered with blood and his fingers were creating patterns of blood over her once unmarred skin. For some reason, her own blood looked darker against her own skin while his complexion made it seem so bright. It would be an interesting sight to walk in on; two bodies stretched out in a pool of gleaming blood, radiant from the moonlight shining down on them. It was a horrid, yet beautiful macabre scene. But she didn’t feel divine, as he said. Not anymore. It had been long ago that she felt like a goddess; now she was just a demon and didn’t feel the divinity that had been bestowed upon her. She grinned though, silently thanking him for the indirect compliment. I was made that way. She muttered, regardless of how she felt. Perhaps there was still a little goddess in her yet, it just came out when she was painted up in the goriest of ways. She was almost tempted to dip her yet-to-be-stained fingers in her blood and line her eyes in crimson like she used to with black. But that may be taking it a little too far, so she let her hands stay on his back, tracing idle patterns over his muscles wrapped in white silk.
Her hooded, bright red eyes took in everything about him. He could be such an animal at times, but so perfectly calm and innocent at others. He had never taken a life to her knowledge, yet pounded into her with force that would break a human. He was actually, very much, like her. He had various sides to him and could actually fit the description of a god. Had he the power, and deviousness, he might have been able to become a worshiped creature back so many years ago. Had he been a full demon at all, he would have been able to walk out in the sun, glisten in the bright rays and stand out among the seas of sand. He would have been like a beckon of light to the lost people of Egypt that needed something stronger and smarter to guide them through life. You would have been magnificent, She whispered under her breath, lost in her thoughts of home and slowly drifting away from her seductive side that was always up for more. Her want of home was pushing her towards the apathetic side that would calmly discuss anything with him.
The demon almost shook her head when he had proclaimed that he would kill thousands for this, for her in a way. The vampire wouldn’t have to since he had her already. But it was still a cute, amusing endeavor. She uttered a quite ‘sweet man’, changing how she addressed him since he didn’t seem to like being referred to as a child. It may damage his ego, whatever was left of it anyway, and make his performance less than satisfactory, which she couldn’t have. It was partially selfish that she would praise him so, wanting him to be at the top of his game so she could gain from the pleasure he was able to deal out in such a way. Her eyes drifted to his cheek, now stained as well. She had felt her own face being splattered when he fell atop her, exhaustion not allowing him to remain properly hovering over her. She could feel the droplets starting to run as well, creating dark red lines over her ‘divine’ face as he so elegantly put it. We’re going to need some bath. She joked lightly, wondering how badly they were really covered in her blood.
Regardless though, she moved to kiss away a few for the blood spots, her tongue flicking out to wipe them away as much as possible. Tasting her own blood on her lips, she only found it to be a hard coppery taste, nothing vile about it. But vampires were different; when it came down to it, they were different on a molecular level. She was able to feed off him, freely and unharmed, but he would end up writhing in disgusting and sick from feeding on her. It was interesting how the food chain worked, and how the higher species could live off all the others in anyway they liked without punishment. Well, until the higher was caught and bound. She sighed, pulling out of her thoughts and into the slowly sharpening pain that was coming to the foreground of her mind as her vitals settled into their normal patterns. I need to get up, love. She said softly, not really wanting him to move, but needing to, if nothing else, lay on her stomach so she could properly tend to her back. Surely, he would understand and, from his earlier concern, eagerly oblige her.

Caden couldn’t quite recall what had been bothering him earlier, as he gazed down at the women beneath him, seeming just as physically pleased as him. A slow smile spread across his face as he stared into her eyes that captivated him so much. He didn’t quite understand what his emotions were contorting into for her, but all he knew was that it would someday be the end of him. For now, he’d not dwell on that so much, and he simply ran his fingers through her hair, silently wishing to get the blood from her long black tresses. He noticed they seemed to be curling slightly on the end where they were laden with her blood, but it mostly was coating and weighing it down. It thought on this absently as he brushed a few smears of blood on her cheek with the pad of his thumb, that somehow managed to stay relatively clean. He knew they’d need to wash off; he wasn’t doing well in taking some of the substance from her face that made her look morbidly beautiful. However, at her response, he looked critically at her. “You would do this again,” he pointed out, though he couldn’t keep a completely serious face. “If it is unusual locations you want, I’m sure I can find someplace else for us that will be less painful.” He sighed, shaking his head lightly, and his mussed black hair fell over his shoulder at the motion, becoming soaked in blood and pooling against her shoulder.
He watched her expression turn into a frown, and he kissed slowly beneath her lips, tracing the line of them with his own thoughtfully and painstakingly. His eyelids were heavy, as was the rest of him as he observed her. He supposed she doubted he was telling the truth in a sense. Ancient Egypt had died long ago, and no one probably regarded her as a goddess any longer. “Yes, I suppose you were,” he replied distractedly, and he was pleased when her expression shifted into a grin. He beamed down at her, thinking for a few moments. “I know you don’t like to talk about your early years… But you are still a higher being to me.” She was in a way; this was probably very much frowned upon with other races. She was too perfect for even him, and he still couldn’t believe he was alive after earlier. He was in far too much of a high to really be frightened by that memory. He sighed softly, simply admiring her in the dimming passion. He could feel her hands on his back, giving him non-sexual affection, and he keened to her further and moved to rest himself completely atop her.
He could see her eyes scrutinizing him, and he became slightly self conscious. It would take a few more days and silent consolations for him to be completely at ease with him again. But, he couldn’t be sure; she was changing him, and he wasn’t sure if it was entirely for the better. Perhaps humans were necessary for survival and that was it; she obviously was poking fun at him silently for his connection… But, he didn’t have a chance to think on it as she spoke, and he furrowed his brow. Magnificent? He may have agreed earlier, but he couldn’t lie to himself or her at the moment. “Don’t encourage my ego; it leads to bad behavior,” he sighed softly, though a small smirk played on his lips. “I’m nothing special.” He didn’t know if she liked him when he was the overly confident risk taker, but if that was preferred, he was sure she could urge him back into that persona of sorts. He was more alike her than he thought in ways, and he sighed again as he caressed her face tenderly with the backs of his knuckles.
The skepticism for his sort of devotion was obvious on her face, but he could tell it meant even a little something to her. Another grin flitted across his lips as he began to calm down, and he could tell she was as well. Perhaps that would be for the best. It would allow him to speak with her; it had been some time since he had ever intelligently discussed something. And, it would quell any urges he may have. As his strength returned, simply being sheathed within her warmth still was stimulating slightly. He smiled as she spoke to him quietly. “I’m only one-hundred-sixty-one,” he stated calmly in response. He supposed she wouldn’t have known, and that she would probably want to withdraw her address of him—even if it was to please him in a sense. By human standards, he was very old, but she had to be well over two-thousand. Calling him a man would probably foster his pride, and that may be what she wanted, simply because he was more playful. He felt so very calm now, and while it took away a great deal of stress, he felt… old. He was twenty-one at heart, and he would behave as such. He reached forward to brush away the running droplets of blood, and he smirked to express his agreement. “Definitely… I am going to smell of your blood for weeks. At least no other vampires will come near me,” he murmured thoughtfully.
He closed his eyes as she kissed his cheeks where he was spattered with blood, and he let out a soft sigh when he felt her tongue. Almost out of reflex, he pushed his flaccid length further within her. Caden knew he shouldn’t even attempt with her current condition; at least not here. Perhaps she would allow him to try something a bit later on, after she was feeling well. He sighed, her words confirming his concern. Another apology passed his lips as he pulled her up slightly and flipped their positions. Even if he could not move, he liked the feeling of being within her. And, he really didn’t want to see what he had done to the flesh of her back. The blood seeped into his hair, and it sent a chill through him, but he stomached it with a shaky breath. He ran his hands up her sides, hoping to offer her some consolation through the pain she must have been in. But, he supposed lying here wouldn’t help too much. Thoughts of her early years drifted to thoughts, about legends he had heard. One stuck out in particular, but he would have to word it differently. But, it would make him seem as if he were implicating something. He shrugged it off. “Have you ever considering having children?”

Red met black in an intense gaze; it seemed it was always intense. So far, it was usually a smoldering connection of lust, once of fear on her end, then once on his while her own eyes were alight with fury. But this was different, and she couldn’t give it a description. This was new to her – no one treated her like this and made her act thusly. She had never wanted to not break someone before. Caden was the first she wanted to preserve fully, for as long as possible probably. There had been one other, a very long time ago, though he grew tiresome quickly and she broke him anyway. She had done it quickly too; there had been no breaks in his torture, little rest for both of them until he was whimpering in compliance. Even as he dirtied her face, streaks of blood over her lightly bronzed skin, she knew him to be more complex and interesting than anyone she’d taken as a pet so far. Unusual is interesting, Caden. It adds fun to life so, of course, I would do this again. She pointed out, having found this quite entertaining in more ways than one. As his ebony locks fell from behind him, she moved a hand to run them through the silky strands, watching them shine in the light, knowing that when they moved they would glisten all the more with the blood that he was getting on the ends.
The calm demon closed her eyes with a soft sigh as his lips brushed over her. It was still kind of him to think of her as some deity, or having the beauty of one. In the last few centuries, she was not as special as she once was. Body modifications made her natural exotic and curvaceous figure obsolete and thought of as fake. Plastic surgeons – she was glad they were gone. Only Caden seemed to regard her as she once was so long ago. She opened her eyes slightly, looking at him through her lashes as he mentioned her past and shrugged slightly, making the cuts on her back cry out slightly with mild pain. I don’t mind talking of it, it just makes me sad sometimes. She murmured honestly. And she made no comment to her being higher than him. She supposed he meant in another way, but technically yes, she was above him. She was a demon and he was a vampire. Her kind fed off his like he did humans. That was just the way of life and she had accepted it before she even came to earth from below.
Again, she knew she was making him uncomfortable. He didn’t like staring it seemed. Oh well, this was something she wasn’t going to budge on. She would look if she liked and she very much liked to do so now. Even blood splattered, her was fascinating. He would have done very well as a god had he only the will power to fully exert himself over humans. He could have taken cities easily and she would have loved to have him at her side, further putting herself into the history of the world in someway. She smirked lightly as his own chiding, giving her a little insight to him. Praise him too much and he misbehaves – interesting. That would be something she would tests later. Much later; at the moment she had someone to look at with captivated eyes. You could have been so great. She continued, voicing her thoughts aloud. Such a shame the age of gods was long over, and man was so intent on worshiping only themselves from now on; no room for demons and other supernatural beings to make themselves immortal in the hearts of religious individuals again.
Bastet sighed and let the lustful light fade from her eyes, letting the calm take over. She was her easiest side now. If he wanted, the pale man above her could speak of near anything with her and not be distracted away from it by games or sex. She brushed her fingers over his forehead, moving his bangs away from his face. She had forgotten that his hair had touched her blood and it had gotten on her fingers. There were now lines of crimson on his face and she was almost amused by it. What would have been amusing had it not been so drastic of a difference were their ages. She was two thousand eight hundred years old, roughly; about seventeen times as old as him. He truly was a boy to her. Young man, then. She corrected herself, but keeping him labeled a man. It would do well for them for him to be addressed as such. It would keep his confidence up and it would pay off for her in one way for sure. Though, him smelling of her may not be the best thing when returning to Cog. If he told them the truth, they may have his head for being with her so freely. Well, they didn’t have to worry about that just yet, and she did have one more pressing matter to attend to first. Well, it’s nice to know I won’t have to compete with vampire women. She said, bemused. She didn’t think she had to worry about them much, but it was still a funny point to make. After all, who would go from a goddess back down to a common being?
Feeling the lust-filly air turning into a peaceful tenor, allowing them to speak of anything and relaxing their bodied. Her legs fell from around him, still fully spread as her feet touched the still slowly spreading pool around them. She had made quite the mess and she wondered if it started seeping down to drip from the ceiling inside yet. Her thoughts were pulled to the vampire as he lightly thrust a little further into her. She couldn’t help the small moan that left her lips despite her persona. She was grateful that was all that was coming of this. She needed to get her back healed so she could be able to keep up with another round if he really wanted to go again tonight. She shifted and moved with him, keeping her chest fully against his. She hissed as the cool night air attacked the fresh wounds, making them sting and scream at her for allowing them to get so bad. She flinched slightly as she moved to hover above him, making sure she would be able to see his pale, blood streaked face and the messy halo of dark hair now merging with the deep glimmering pool around them. At once, she put all her energy into healing the injuries, not really liking the feel of how her muscles had to mend. She was glad for his distraction though, frowning slightly. No. It was a simple answer, but honest. She had never thought seriously about mothering anything; she was hardly mentally fit for such a thing, even if it was to be a demon – or partially if she was correct in thinking he wanted a little vampire running around.

Caden watched her intently, feeling somewhat hypocritical. He felt completely at ease scrutinizing her so shamelessly and with some emotion he had kept within himself for so long, after his family’s death. He sighed softly, still tracing absent patterns along her skin as his fingertips caressed lightly down her arm. At her response, he quirked a brow slightly, and his calm expression twitched upwards lightly into amusement. “And people say I have no self preservation,” he teased softly, leaning forward to kiss the tip of her nose. Unusual definitely was exciting, and he supposed after so long on Earth, she would know what was best. He had been here for a fairly short period of time in contrast, and he still hadn’t made much of his extended time. He felt her move her hands into the long strands of his black hair. He always melted into her touch, and he sighed, eager for more. But, now wasn’t the right time. She had said again, but he didn’t think again meant right at this moment, as much as his body was demanding more with memories of the other night. “Perhaps we should go to a human city in public sometime,” he suggested laughingly, knowing that was rather impossible without being found out, but with such a willing partner, the possibilities they could exploit really were endless.
He watched her eyes close and relished in the movement of her body against his as she sighed. Such things were noticeable with their proximity, and he was somewhat enthralled with the steady beat of her heart. He was still careful with her, even if she wasn’t flinching at all if she was in pain. Lightly, his lips brushed over her collarbone as he moved farther down her body. He was fascinated with her, loving each moment they had like this. It probably should have been different if he truly cared for her—not being so obsessed with the physical use of her, but he knew better than to make himself vulnerable emotionally. She’d pick at that should she shift personas, and it was not something he wanted. “I don’t want you to be sad,” he mumbled softly as he neared the valley between her breasts. She could never go back to her home the way it was so many centuries ago, and he supposed he felt for her. He could treat her in the manner she was if that was what she desired. “I won’t speak of it.”
When she took her opportunity to look at him, especially now that he had been earlier stripped of his pride, he felt so ashamed—there was that lingering fear she would change her mind about him. It hadn’t come yet, but he knew in years, maybe, he’d be broken against her promise. And with how things were going, that would probably kill him. But, he couldn’t think on that now; he was feeling so… good at the moment, and he didn’t want to lose the feeling while it lasted. But, at his warning to her, she seemed to smirk, as he had thought. He could remain placid his whole life like this, his libido quelled considerably, but it seemed she was interested in experimenting. No matter. He remained calm as his finger slid across her face and threaded into the roots of her hair close to her face. He listened to her speak, and he smiled slightly, skeptical. The back of his mind wanted to believe her and agree—perhaps press more on details to build up his confidence again of what he could have been. But, he didn’t want to at the moment. He was too tired, and satisfied enough. He had her to tend to, however. “What could I have possibly been magnificent in?” he questioned quietly, gently, as he peppered kisses softly down her cheek and jaw.
She was known for many things, and he didn’t think, now that he got his reality check of sorts, that he had many talents at all. He looked thoughtful as he watched the fire die from her eyes into the other persona he liked so much. He was curious as to what sensual things did to her, or if she would shift automatically. It was something to consider for later, but for now he smiled down at her as she moved his bangs away from his face. He knew she had bloodied his face now; he could feel it. She edited her address of him again, and he rolled his eyes with a quiet ‘tch’, though a small smirk was on his face. “Well, technically, I’m twenty-one. How old are you supposed to be? That could make me feel a little bit better and not like I’m being victimized,” he laughed softly, grinning at her. He thought on this for a little, not really caring how young he was to her. He wasn’t sure many even counted years much anymore. “Oh, you won’t have to worry about that. I promise.” He didn’t think too many others could catch his attention now. Besides, he didn’t really deal with his own kind much.
Caden sighed softly when she moved her legs from around him, the slight movement causing a small prickle of pleasure to run through him. And evidentially, she could handle a little bit of such things as he moved within her. He was thrilled by her moan, especially while she was in this state, and another shudder moved through him. He tried to calm himself as he eyed her with burning curiosity. Even if he wanted to pursue that, he was not in control, and he was pleased that even though their roles were reversed, she still kept in close contact with him. He furrowed his brow as she hissed, and he frowned at her. He was truly contrite, and he whimpered softly to express his dislike for her condition and the fact she now moved away. He had other things to think on, and as she answered, he couldn’t say he was surprised. Mythology had conveyed her to be a mother figure, though, and he eyed her pensively. He hadn’t really met too many women that didn’t even consider a child once. “Oh,” he replied equally as simply, pursing his lips. “My sources must be inaccurate.” He shrugged, more lighthearted notes in his voice at his second sentence.

The demon was tempted to laugh as he brought self preservation into this. Gaining a few scrapes during sex was hardly life threatening and she knew when to cut out if her life hung in the balance. I have plenty; it just doesn't show often. She muttered, knowing if she was caught in a bad situation and it was put into game terms, she might find herself at her own end. So far, no one really realized that she was that obsessed with making things fun like that. Caden most likely hadn't yet since he hadn't seen how much her child-like side enjoyed playing. But he would soon enough. If he suggested more things like running around in public among humans and she wasn't careful, then they would be in trouble. That's the spirit, love. We'll have to see on that idea though. She partially agreed, forcing some restraint on herself. She was interested in trying that out, but wondered if he really meant it. If he were one that wanted a long life, then her want to test people and their deductive skills by walking freely through the throngs. She let her fingers fall from his hair, moving back to caress his skin gently.
Bast relished in the softness of the vampire's lips. Had she not already calmed down and was preoccupied with needing to heal her back, she would have lusted after those touches. Perhaps it was a good thing that she was hurt; she couldn't be sure if he wanted to repeat the other night, only finding more exotic locations to indulge their primal activities. Her hands ran down his arms lightly, smearing whatever blood was there and grinned slightly. She may enjoy being happy most of the time, but she knew the value of having bouts of depression. Without sadness, how would we know we were happy? She asked, her tone suggesting she had more wisdom than her looks and certain aspects of her personality gave off. And what better way for her to feel the somberness take her than to think of home. I don’t mind speaking of it. If you have any questions, please, ask.
She took a deep, relaxing breath as she thought on Caden as a god, wincing slightly as the wood beneath her dug in with the movement. Had you any demon in you – and born quite a bit earlier – you would have made a glorious deity. She informed him, recalling her ‘friends’ from the old days. Ra had been an interesting one. Very interesting. She had actually kept track of him for a few years after the fall of Egyptian mythology. That grew old quickly and, like the others, she had lost track of him. She wondered what she would have done with the dark haired man with her now if he had been there in Egypt. Her eyes went to the stars, naming the constellations silently as she thought of him on an African night, warm with a light breeze, bronzed and dressed in pure white. What a vision he would have been, taking his place among the other beautiful creatures that took their place on the top of the world those days. If only that could come again, walking freely without worries of being hunted and hurt. But someone in Rome had the bright idea to demean Egypt and take it over, thus starting her own downfall from ultimate grace as it were.
Now, with the knowledge of how old he actually was, plus thinking about the past, she was starting to feel rather old. She had seen the changes of so many ages. She had used candles, to kerosene lamps, to light bulbs. He had gone from light bulbs to … whatever they were using these days in Cog. She sighed and shrugged it off. He was truly young to the world as far as their supernatural age went. Technically, I am the same age. She replied, not bothering to give her true age so he would feel less ‘victimized’. When she had come to the world, she had seen twenty-one as one of the peek ages. Women that old were wise at that time, seen to be respected while the younger they were the more likely they were to be used as baby factories. She almost laughed at the thought, but then remembered that she had been called ‘mother’ as well. Cats were seen in many lights and fertility had been one of them as well as fierce, elegant, and to be highly respected. Therefore, being the feline goddess, she had been seen the same way. She let out a thoughtful sound and distractedly answered Caden. That’s wonderful to know.
Caden was lucky she needed to fix herself. The small shivers from him and his length shifting inside of her would have brought the temptress back out to play. But the wounds on her back were more pressing, even as they slowly healed. The deepest parts of the gashes were fixing nicely, though she could still feel the hurt of the burning edges brushed over by her hair and the cool air. Had she not known better already, Bastet would have thought cold would be good, numbing the damaged nerves. She grinned down at her lover, the man that wanted to be her only lover, and shook her head slightly in a gesture that told him ‘it was fine’. She felt almost like she should mother him. He was insinuating such by bringing up children that he may want them, and she remembered the age she portrayed was the motherly one at one point in time. No, your sources were correct. A hazard of letting humans label you. She clarified. Now she somewhat understood why he asked. He was digging into her past carefully, rewording it so it may not seem like he was asking about Egypt and not upset her. Smart boy.

Caden seemed to consider her words for a moment with facetious skepticism, but he relented. For her to be about three thousand, she certainly knew how to get around and be mindful of herself. “Fair enough,” he mumbled after a pause, pretending to be bitter about losing to her in something else in a way. He wouldn’t call himself daring; more misinformed than anything since he didn’t like the word ‘rash’ or plain ‘stupid’. His intellect was there, but he didn’t use it as he should. Thinking things through didn’t get him opportunities like this. Lying within a very powerful demon on a blood-soaked rooftop certainly was a monotony breaker, and he was content at the moment with how things turned out. But, now that he was with her, he felt secure under her care. His amused, pleased expression remained in place as he looked up at her. He was tempted to give her details with where his mind was wandering. But, the thoughts of where and how he could play with her were riling him up somewhat, and she couldn’t afford that at the moment. “I’m open for suggestions. I’m sure there’s someplace you’d like to go, and all the other specifics. But, we can talk about that a bit later,” he replied softly, calmly though he was inwardly growing somewhat impatient to take her again. But, she was injured, and that was enough to keep himself in check.
The vampire knew he needed to stop even touching her in the way he was as his lips tenderly wandered back up her neck. It was only a matter of time before he grew even more lustful and lost control of himself. He didn’t know the extent of her injuries from sight, but the amount of blood cued him into the fact she was in no shape to exert herself. He sighed heavily, simply relaxing in her touch on his skin, down his arms. He kept himself under control, and his hooded eyes met hers with a small frown. He hadn’t quite thought of it that way before. It was something he was a little surprised to hear from her, but she was shifting into the calmer side of herself. He smiled thoughtfully, seeming to consider this. He wanted to ask something more lighthearted to prevent any sulking, but he knew she had been with other demons and that was all the gods and goddesses were. Asking how he compared would be risky, so he kept quiet on that topic. Asking favorites would be bad for him; he highly doubted she’d keep loyal to him, even if she promised in his presence. “I’ll keep it in mind, but I can’t think of anything at the moment. The present time is good for me right now.” It took a bit of effort to keep his voice even and not border lining suggestive or lustful. He marveled in the being above him, silently appreciating her as he touched her once flawless skin, tracing her curves with the tips of his fingers.
He drew away as she flinched, looking concerned for a moment until she spoke again. He wasn’t sure why she thought of such a thing. He wasn’t a leader at all. Perhaps he just had the look and that was all that was needed. Regardless, he whispered his thanks against her ear as he sat up slightly, supporting his weight on his elbows. Lightly, his hand cupped her cheek and brought her lips closer to his so he could lightly kiss her. The contact never failed to make him somewhat nervous, and he relished in the feeling for once. It was a thrill he doubted would die, and he tried to disregard his previous thoughts of staying calm. He could handle just this. He eased away from her very carefully, his breathing light. She seemed sort of nostalgic and deep in thought, so he reclined back on his elbows and observed her profile as she looked skyward. He felt bad bringing up the topic. “Have I upset you?” he asked gently, looking at her calmly. The serenity was beautiful at the moment; he just hoped he hadn’t dampened her mood too much by making her think of home. Absently, his own gaze moved up to observe the star-flecked skies.
He felt a sense of déjà vu. He resisted the urge to make a comment on how beautiful the night was, just to see if she was aware enough to pick up on the repeat. So, he did. He leaned forward subtly to whisper a muted remark, a light touch of amusement glistening just beneath the surface of his subdued black eyes. Her answer actually made him let out a soft laugh. “Well, that’s good. I don’t want to be too much of a child to you,” he replied vaguely. He liked respect, and he didn’t want to be demeaned by her because he was young to her. But, things weren’t awkward or anything, even with this information out on the table. The only number he didn’t want to know about her was even a rough estimate of how many men she had been with over her years. On the subject, he listened to her reply to him. She didn’t seem to care either way, and he sighed himself, looking away. His hands slid carefully between them, his fingers pressing lightly against the smooth plane of her stomach, and he created light red lines on the untouched surface. He was mindful as he moved upwards. His sobered up again as he recalled his earlier meltdown. Pondering how many people felt this special with her, relaxing on a rooftop beneath the starry skies depressed him. But, he was more accepting of that at the moment.
Caden looked at her again, trying to ignore the smallest movements and how they stimulated him. He absently moved his hand to slid around her head and pull the long strands of her black hair away from her back. He didn’t want them to agitate the wounds or to hinder the healing process. He observed the grin on her face, leaning forward to press his lips beneath her lower one softly. “So Anubis never meant that much to you?” he asked laughingly against her mouth, smirking despite his mood. He had read that she had children of her own, but things could get lost in translation. He sighed, shaking his head as he reclined back against the bloodied rooftop, staring upward as he waited for her to be well enough to move elsewhere. “I don’t mean anything by it. I don’t know if the Truebloods would be all that happy if I were to reproduce anyway, or if I’m even capable.” He shrugged, not caring all that much on the spreading of his species.

Bast smirked slightly, only mild amusement making it to her eyes. It was such a change from her usually intense personas. This was probably categorized as her motherly, docile side that protected the home. This was how she had gotten labeled as a mother as well as her association with felines. Protector of house and home as well as vicious killer of her enemies. Yes, she saw that now that Caden was so plainly pointing it out. She would protect him as a lioness would her cub, as tear her enemies apart like any cat would its prey. So many sides she had to live up to too keep history alive for people – not that anyone really remember millennia ago anymore. Only the vampire below her seemed interested in her or her past; truly interested at least. She thought on keeping his expectations. There might be a lot to live up to if she were to keep him completely happy. But what would she do that for? She would rather him like her for herself than how history portrayed her. I’ll show you where I would like to go … later. She agreed quietly, the smallest of lustful glints in her eye. She couldn’t muster the look he might like with such a suggestive statement; it was too hard to blend her personalities.
The demon watched as emotions flickered through black depths, changing as quickly as they came and confusing her slightly. She almost wished that she knew what he was thinking. But that could be a risky thing to want; he could be thinking any number of things including planning on manipulating her into thinking he was someone that really needed her care, getting her trust, then turning on her at the right moment. That was a worse thought than that of Egypt, but it was something easily handled. He was a vampire, she a demon. She would be able to outrank him in most ways, she was sure. She was actually glad she couldn’t tell; she would rather the confusion than a plot against her, no matter how futile it might be. She was able to be at ease though; he seemed like he was truly content with how things were though she was hurt and unable to do anything with him. Very well. Is there anything about the present you’d like to talk about? She asked, somewhat suggestive. He was still inside her, and she would imagine, as a man, he would want to talk about what they could do to each other. Or he could keep his mouth shut on that subject and simply experiment later.
The softness of the moment was soothing. It relaxed her and she was able to get passed the feel of stinging in her back as she sat up to let him prop himself up without obstruction. She was thankful he was an affectionate creature, seeming to actually care about her. Had he been a demon, he probably would have just gotten up and walked away when satisfied. But he wasn’t which, in a way, was a good thing. She sighed into the kiss, being just as gentle. Her hands cupped his cheeks and ran back so her fingers threaded into his now blood-soaked hair. She could only imagine how they looked with both crimson-stained tresses dripping blood. When the kiss broke, she gave a small smile, trying to look reassuring. No; I’m fine. She answered honestly though she wasn’t sure if her expression concurred. She could act as well as anyone else, perhaps better, but she didn’t want to in front of him. If her face said different, so be it. But she truly was fine. She could handle any amount of somberness that decided to creep into her. And it would be dulled being that she was in her more apathetic side.
At first, lost in her thoughts and the sky as she was, Bastet thought that the wind was speaking to her. But the voice was far too familiar for that and it was odd that it would repeat Caden’s words. She smiled though, raising an eyebrow and glancing down at the vampire that had to have been the wind in her ear. It was bemusing that he would return to the original statement that ended in her gaining some pain. She wanted to talk about age again, but she didn’t know how to answer him without pointing out that, honestly, he was a child except in appearance. They looked twenty-one, but no longer were. She had celebrated her twenty-first ‘birthday’ long before the fall of Egypt’s culture into a more modern age. Now that he had her thinking so much about it, she wanted to talk about her home. He would see a light in her eyes that nothing else would be able to provoke from her. She let out a small, approving sound as he touched her stomach, the feeling calming her further. It made it less painful for her heart, or what she had of one, as she drifted into the sandy nights that were usually so warm.
She hissed slightly as he moved her hair. The strands that had landed in her wounds moved and were dragged out, causing another shot of pain to run down her entire back. It was best that he moved her hair since she didn’t want it healed into her back, but it still hurt. She took another breath, moved to kiss him lightly and simply pressed her forehead against his as she continued making the cuts shallower, layer by layer. She thought on Anubis and that lead her to thinking of her ‘family’. It had seemed that every few decades, the stories would rearrange to encompass a new demon that was seen as a god. She smirked lightly, and shook her head. No, not really. Nor did my ‘son’, Khonsu. She clarified. But that is the problem with humans. They need to connect everyone in some way or another. I think it was to make us seem more human and easier to relate with. She mused, pondering over human minds. They were so … scattered back then. She didn’t think they truly knew what they were doing, worshipping demons and all. Her thoughts moved back to motherhood and she focused on Caden speaking of being a father in a way. Of course you can reproduce, and who cares what others think. They don’t own you. She retorted, sneering at Truebloods while resisting the urge to add ‘like I do’ to the end of her statement.

Caden met her smirk evenly, and he truly wasn’t sure which side of her was his favorite in a sense. This one was so easy to talk to; he didn’t get to converse often. He just had to wonder what their primal relation was to the sides that weren’t his… physical favorite. She seemed calm in this position, so it probably wasn’t a shock. He didn’t know how to describe this one. She seemed normal. Human. It was what made it easy for him to forget how different they were. But, it didn’t really matter to him what she was. He liked her very much at the moment for many reasons, and one that was growing was the easiness he had around her. He smiled softly at her, enjoying the natural lighting as he lightly cupped her cheek. He slid his fingers down carefully and tenderly to grip her chin between his thumb and forefinger. Her words caught him a bit off guard at first, as shown by the surprise that flickered in his eyes and the sigh of longing that passed his lips. But, he recovered quickly enough. “You certainly know how to keep be interested, Bast. But, here is fine right now; I have everything I need,” he replied patiently and smoothly, grinning toothily at her.
He noticed she didn’t tend to mix her personalities, so seeing that liquid lust in her crimson eyes was a bit of a surprise to him. He did like to watch her eyes for the very reason. They always held surprised, always held emotion he was captivated by, no matter what it was. She was always beautiful, even spattered with blood or livid with killing intent. He couldn’t explain that. His hands slid down her forearms gently, enjoying any contact he could get with her that was acceptable in her state. This side of her did not like too much intense passion—that would risk switching her. And, she was hurting. It wouldn’t be fair to harm her again while she was helpless in a way and in pain. But, he wasn’t too sure of her intent. He shifted slightly, nearly forgetting how they were still joined when she questioned him with the unmistakable undertone. He sucked in his breath at the slight movement, his eyes falling half closed. “Hmm… I suppose that depends,” he murmured softly, eyeing her with the lightest of predatory gleams. “I’m not good for your health. I’d like to discuss when you’ll be feeling well,” he teased softly, not really sincere about such a thing.
Harming her was out of the question; he could wait a few more days to take her again. Besides, the moment with this side of her was enough to ask for. He remained perfectly still, as if the slightest sudden movement would disrupt the atmosphere. His free hand slid along her sides and stomach, taking pleasure in the simple action. He closed his eyes, sighing softly through his slightly parted lips as she ran her fingers through his hair. He reopened his eyes slowly to meet hers with the softest of smiles. “If you say so.” His hands caressed her body while the other pulled her head very gently closer to his enough so that he could catch her lips with his own. He would have pushed her down again had she not been injured, perhaps gently taken her to see if he could keep her in this persona, but luck was not on his side in that way. He felt she was telling the truth by saying she was fine, and he intended to keep things as such. He lightly grazed his pointed teeth along her bottom lip, keeping it tender as to not provoke a potentially harmful for her change.
He broke away again with a light pop, grinning when she smiled at him with such an expression. It seemed she had caught on, and he shrugged as if to dismiss it. He didn’t mean anything by it such as insinuating they begin again—at least not so soon. He studied her thoughtfully. “But what about you? Is there anything you’d like to talk about?” He doubted she’d have any questions for him that she’d need answering, but it never hurt to ask if there was anything in particular that it would be good to discuss with her. He listened to the sound she made at his more gentle touches, and he continued to run the backs of his fingers along her navel and upwards, still avoiding any areas that would elicit any more primal reactions. For now, he wanted to keep things light between them. He was in the mood for talking, however split his wants constantly were.
He flinched away at first as she hissed, and a light pang of guilt stabbed at his heart at the knowledge he had caused that pain and all of it she was experiencing now. He apologized softly, more tenderly brushing the strands away from her wounds. He returned the kiss more gingerly, and he heated up slightly as she remained where she was. He glowed with delight at the proximity and how simply intimate this was. He kept his hands lightly resting on her hips, and he inhaled the breaths she exhaled contentedly. He was pleased to listen to her, and his eyes fell closed in the bliss he was locked in, both physically and how high his mood was going with just these simple times. “Well, of course. People can’t look up to something or someone that is so different from them. They need something familiar,” he murmured thoughtfully. “I even do that now with you. It’s just hard for me to comprehend exactly what you are. You seem so normal by my standards, so I don’t want to think of you as a demon, or anything I am unfamiliar with.” He traced meaningless patterns along her skin, knowing he couldn’t quite put his thoughts to words. He blinked at her when she spoke, and Caden couldn’t help but grin. “They don’t think we’re really pure vampires and all, so we shouldn’t have the right to taint the species or something along those lines. I dunno. They make the laws, so I have to care what they think to an extent.” He knew he was following the catlike woman above him now; he was grateful for it, too.

The serenity the surrounded them was greatly helping her healing process. The only thing she had to exert at the moment was her mind for the most part, trying to keep depression at bay while thinking on Caden in Egypt. Her red eyes went to his as his fingers brushed over her skin and she felt a strange twinge inside of her. It wasn’t physical, but more emotional. It was something she didn’t really understand but the confusion barely made it to her eyes; she was far too much at peace in the moment to have her own feelings boggle her for the time being. I should be fine to move in a half hour. She murmured, letting him know he wouldn’t have to rest on the abrasive material of the rooftop for too much longer. She didn’t think he would hurt for him to remain that for that long, especially if they weren’t moving. His blood wouldn’t be mingling with hers and seeping down to drip into the room below. Briefly she wondered if something would happen if her blood touched his bloodstream directly instead of being ingested.
Bastet doubted anything would happen to him. He would probably get sicker a lot quicker and might take longer to get better. Still, it wasn’t anything more than a fleeting wistful thought. She would experiment on that when she felt the need to break him in a way. Though, it seemed unlikely that she would; she had an oddly close feeling to this creature and, as she said before, wanted him as he was – whether she wound up hurt or not. You? Not good for my health? Her tone was one of amusement, finding it slightly humorous that he would think such a thing. Had she not wanted to have him for her own, he wouldn’t be covered in demon blood now and giving a clear reason that he should be hurt by other vampires. Nor would he have ventured into demon territory where he could easily be torn to shreds. He was risking a lot actually, just wanting to be with her and asking her to return to Cog with him. But, he had a demon that had survived near three thousand years and could certainly take him on a ride for a few hundred at her side. I think it is I that is hazardous.
Despite how affectionate he was being, the demon had yet to feel herself shift yet. It surprised even her. She would have thought so many kisses would still push her back into the other persona. Oh well, it was nice to know that she would be able to remain in this state, able to talk freely without the distraction of lust, and still show him some form of love. She let out a small, amused noise when she felt his teeth and was tempted to see what would happen if they deepened the kiss. But for however many times, her back foiled the experiment and she had to keep her mind on that. Bast was sure he was feeling the agitation of having to be mindful of that as well. She was almost thankful for the distraction of conversation and having to find a topic in which to discuss with him. She ‘hm’ed quietly for a moment before choosing not to call him on his conflicting wants. That might get a negative response and that was hardly what she wanted; it was too nice a moment to ruin with something potentially mentally harmful. She shook her head and simply smiled down at him while her back started into the last stages of it healing, the wounds considerably shallower and only need roughly fifteen minutes until she was able to get to her skin.
Bast brushed off the apology given her with a wave of her hand. She didn’t blame him for her pain – she had asked for it in a way. She didn’t ask him to stop either so it was more her fault than his. Regardless, she was nearly back up to physically looking fine and just needed a little something to eat to be back at top speed of sorts. She was glad though, that they were able to have something to muse over while they waited for her demonic energies to finish their work. She was a little caught off guard when he thought of anything but a demon. Her expression turned pensive as she mulled over his words. It was an interesting take, nothing she would understand. She was on the top of the heap so she had nothing to look up to and nothing for her to dumb it down to so she could understand it better. She was glad though, that they had his vampire ‘superiors’ to talk about though, that was easier for her to get her head around. She ‘tch’ed at the Truebloods thought pattern and rolled her eyes. Love, you’re with a demon. Laws are erroneous for you now. I’m sure just sitting her with him is a crime against them. She said, chuckling mutely.

Caden was very much enjoying the silence; they could appreciate each other in ways without speaking. He was content to observe her, trying to ignore the fact he had probably instilled some degree of somberness in her by mentioning Egypt. He drifted slightly, only jerked back into reality when she met his eyes in a way he was unfamiliar with. He quirked a brow slightly, noticing she had looked over only when he had touched her. He supposed she was surprised the she was with someone that cared for her in a way; remaining so gentle while she was injured and actually worrying over her to an extent. He wasn’t entirely sure if she even appreciated such a thing since she was what she was. But, he would continue to humanize her in ways; it made him feel better at least to believe he was special in terms of being careful with her. “All right,” he replied a bit distractedly when she spoke to him. He lapsed into reality as he studied her intently. “Where will we be moving? I’m sure you’d like to eat, or at least settle down a little before we even think of traveling back to the city.” In a way, he was eager to head back for home. But, it left the complication of where they would be settling. Or at least her; it was risky to harbor her in his home.
He relaxed back slightly, caressing her for a little longer in the same way he had earlier. He thought as he absently touched her, not really dwelling on anything of concern at the moment. She captivated him, and he relished in these simple gestures before he lost the will to support himself by abdominal strength alone, and he flopped back again, crossing his arms behind his head as he gazed up at her. He grinned as she replied, obviously amused with the notion of him being a danger. “Sure I am. You’re wandering back into Templar land for me, aren’t you?” he defended in what was supposed to be a serious tone. But, he couldn’t manage letting the sarcasm creep into his voice. He let out a soft chuckle, shrugging. He had to agree with her at her words, but he simply smiled at first. “Well, of course you are, but we’ve already established I’m sort of suicidal.” It was true in several ways, he had learned from earlier, but he pushed that thought from his mind. “It doesn’t matter, though. We’re stuck with each other for now.”
He enjoyed the soft kisses they were able to share. It was still perplexing for him to wrap his head around; she was not a human. She was normal in this state with healthy balance of emotions. She could kiss him and touch him gently that would keep her in this state. She was not cruel or anything of the sort. But, he couldn’t keep thinking that way. He focused on the present, and listened at her sound when he pressed his teeth against her mouth. Smirking lightly, he parted his lips more to lightly graze his pointed canines over her lower lip, and he deepened the kiss just enough to slide the incisors along the inside of her lip. He wanted to press further on with this, but it was rather impossible if he wanted her healed properly. Tentatively, he shifted his position to touch her, and he moved his fingertips around slightly to gingerly touch her back. Obviously, she was not ‘normal’ yet, and he flinched away quickly with a soft apology. He didn’t want to cause her pain or anything. Still, her healing rate was unnatural, as was his. Regardless, he didn’t expect such severe wounds to slow so quickly. He felt the blood flow slow considerably, and he watched her pensively still. His fingers ran gently through her hair, pulling apart some of the strands that clumped together with her blood. He preened her softly, not saying anything as he continued to pull carefully the blood clots from her hair.
Caden didn’t think she’d really be accepting any of his apologies by how she literally waved one off. He shrugged with a crease of his brow and raised himself slightly once more, his whole back now drenched in her blood. He was soaked, and it wasn’t the most pleasant of feelings, but he had to endure it until there was a clean stream somewhere. His fingers drifted from her hair to slide down her face again. He watched her with some interest when she actually seemed to consider seriously something he said, but he could tell he probably wasn’t going to get an answer. His point of view was much different than hers since he had, in fact, been at the bottom of the food chain at one point. But, he brushed that off calmly. It seemed she was interested in discussing his race’s form of government, and he was willing to humor her on that. “No, I don’t think being with you is too much against their laws. It’s mostly just when we kill another of our kind; I’m sure that sounds ridiculous. This’d probably be very frowned upon, but technically, I haven’t done too much wrong. It’s the Templars that’d be after me, but they’d be after me simply because I exist.”
